Berkeley Hills Country Club: Mr. Kwesi & Mrs. Orion Cudjoe-Chow

Arriving at Berkeley Hills Country Club I could feel that fall was just around the corner, and Love was in the air.  The wind was blowing and the temperature was just right for a outdoor wedding.  it’s amazing what little time is needed in order to stop, breath and relax. I can see why the Kwesi and Orion chose this Beautiful Country Club.

Kwesi walked into the ballroom being escorted by his father, not knowing what his beautiful bride looked like from under the mask he was wearing. Orion smiled and laughed, and when they were finally close to each other Kwesi asked…can I touch her?

They touched each other and it was like they didn’t want to let each other go. The both of them complimented each other on how good they smelled. These moments always seem to be my favorite…because I see and feel when they’ve started to embrace the moment they’ve been waiting for.

I love that Orion and Kwesi decided to celebrate their #10yearweddinganniversery by showing their continued love for each other with family and friends.

The Historic Fourth Ward Park Wedding: Ajay & Cedreon

In the South on a beautiful hot summer day, Cedreon greeted me with her beautiful warm smile while getting her hair styled.  Their day was finally here…with every hair piece, lipstick, or eye shadow she put on it turned her into an even more beautiful bride, I couldn’t help but think of why #LOVEWINS.

When I arrived at the venue Historic Fourth Ward Park, I had a moment with the handsome groom, Ajay.  He’s such a layed back chill kind of guy.  I told him how beautiful Cedreon looked, He said  “Really…you saw her”? The mention of her beauty left him with such a wonderful loving smile. This was love!

Ajay looked to the top of the staircase, at that moment I knew he was Embracing every moment of Cedreon’s beauty. She made it to the bottom of the staircase and her Grandfather gave Ajay his blessing by placing her hand in his.  As Ajay walked her down the aisle, he whispered to her…”you look Beautiful!”

Ajay Embraced the moment!

Ajay & Cedreon,Thank you for giving me the opportunity to capture your Union. Your wedding day was Beautiful, I pray for many Blessings and continued Love throughout your marriage.  Thank you for letting #lovewin

Tips to prepare you for your Maternity Shoot!

Preparing for your Maternity Photo Shoot can be a little intimidating…especially if it’s your first child. I’m sure you’ve seen thousands of Maternity images on the internet or if you’re a Pinterestholic, you’ve probably got a board all set up of how you want your shoot to look.

I’ve come up with some tips to get you ready for your photo shoot!

-Get plenty of rest the night before, relax and take it easy.

The last thing a mom wants is to get to her session and feel tired and uncomfortable.

-Bring comfortable walking shoes.

If you plan to wear heels for your shoot, you will want shoes that are comfortable while walking around.

-Make sure Mom and Dads hands are nicely groomed and moisturized. And don’t forget to moisturize that Tummy!

Wearing a nice bracelet always looks nice, the majority of your shots will focus on your hands embracing that beautiful mommy tummy.

-Mom, don’t forget your touch up makeup and mirror.

– If you know it’s going to be a hot day, bring a towel along and water.

-Wear outfits that are flowy, shear, stretchy (on the mommy tummy) and comfortable, keep it simple not a lot of colors or designs.

Remember, you want the attention to be on you and your tummy!

-Bring props.

Maybe a dress or bowtie, shoes or something that reveals the gender, especially if you want to do a gender reveal.

-If your session is taking place near water, inform the photographer what you are/not comfortable doing when it comes to you being in or near the water.

-If you know the gender of your child, make sure to inform your photographer.

-Your photographer will need to know ahead of time what style you are going for…Soft and intimate? Contemporary? Or Classic?

And always make sure Mom and Dad are on the same page, this helps set the mood for the shoot.

I hope this helps your Maternity shoot become a success!

Please feel free to leave a comment and/or some ideas that may have helped you prepare for your shoot!
