The Lovett Family

I truly enjoyed meeting this wonderful family.  When I received the email about booking, it stated that their father decided he wanted family pictures taken.  I thought, wow it’s not often that I receive bookings because the father wants them…it’s usually the mother! From first site this family was very welcoming, from their beautiful smiles to the warm hugs.

After our session the sisters informed me the youngest sister was going off to college and that is why Dad wanted this photo shoot asap. When I hear these stories, I think how blessed this family is to have a man who wants to document what God has given him.  I am forever grateful that they chose me to document it.

I hope you all will enjoy viewing the Lovett families love as much as I did while post processing…I found myself smiling because there were so many smiles in the images. I love it!

Make it Happen!

So often we pass up opportunities to leave the next generation a portrait of knowing or wanting to know who we are.

How often have you heard family members say you resemble someone in the family that you’ve never seen?  Maybe it’s your eyes, nose or that little dimple you have on your chin. But the only problem is, there’s no picture…so you’ll continue to hear the stories and never see an image.

Here’s a few suggestions to help you get that photo shoot checked off your to do list this year.

-With New Year resolutions in full effect, reward yourself with a photo shoot when you reach a particular goal.

-Book a session for when you know family members will be in town for Family Reunions, Mothers Day, Easter or any other holiday.

-If your on a tight budget, check out Living Social or Groupon…some of my favorite clients are those who purchased from these two companies.

-If you’re not sure what photography company to use…CHOOSE ME! 😉 Or ask close friends, family or coworkers for recommendations.

Whatever your reasons, let 2015 be the year to make it happen.

I’ll leave you with this quote from a recent client:

“Mom you should take a picture by yourself, if something happens to you at least we’ll have a recent picture to use”.

Chiquita and Camille- Mother Daughter collection at Historic Downtown Norcross

This is Chiquita and her daughter Camille.  For this shoot, we decided to meet at Historic Downtown Norcross. Which is an absolutely beautiful spot to capture this bond between mother and daughter.

From their beautiful natural hair to the way they coordinated their attire for the shoot …they were ready!  I had captured several shots before I got to one particular moment between the two, I can honestly say it caught me off guard; as I got ready to take the shot, I became teary eyed.  It was at that very moment I saw… A Mother’s Love.  It was something about Chiquita’s eyes and the way she touched her daughter Camille’s hands. A moment I will forever cherish.

I am so grateful Chiquita and Camille didn’t wait until Mothers Day or any other holiday for me to capture this moment.

A collection for the next generation!

Here are my favorites from the Morning.
